Our commitment

Ofuq is a learning app for people aged 13+, with a community and member-to-member messages. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, or asking a minor for images or personal information.

How we prevent harm

Every post, comment, message and member has a «Report» option. Reports are confidential.

A report under «puts a child or minor at risk» hides the post or comment from everyone immediately until it is reviewed.

Content reported by 3 different members is hidden automatically until reviewed.

Any member can block another: they no longer see each other's posts and comments, and the blocked person cannot message them, comment on their posts or send them a connection request. Blocking is enforced in the database itself.

Our team reviews reports, removes violating content and permanently bans violating accounts.

Working with authorities

When we become aware of CSAM or of a real risk to a child, we preserve the necessary evidence and report it to the competent authorities as required by applicable law, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local authorities.

How to report

In the app: tap «⋯» on a post, a member's page or a chat, «إبلاغ» under a comment, or long-press a message, then choose «يعرّض طفلاً أو قاصراً للخطر».

Outside the app: email us at [email protected].

If a child is in danger right now, call the emergency services in your country.
